The Educator Academy dawned from our hopes to not just open one school, but to impact educational practices and policies — and moreover, educators themselves.
Why We Exist
We know what it feels like.
As educators, we have experienced being overworked, underpaid, and burnt out. We are familiar with what it feels like to have a lack of support, to feel frustrated with antiquated teaching and leadership models, and to be held hostage by the constant transitions in politics, priorities, and policies.
In our current tumultuous times, many educators are led by fear and have tailored their practices to avoid consequences used as intimidation. We aim to uphold educators who want to resist and center what is best for their students but are afraid to — and to help them further develop their teaching and social justice practices.
We provide educators with coaching cycles, PDs, peer support spaces, social gatherings, and an educational research conference.

Educator Affinity Spaces
Some begin January 2027Free weekly circles to heal and fill your cup.
Our Affinity Spaces are free spaces where folks of similar identifiers can come together to heal and fill their cups so they can continue in their role as educators. They rose from our own need to find community while working in hostile educational environments.
Circles meet online for maximized convenience, beginning with a handful of participants and staying small — fewer than 40 — to cultivate strong bonds and fellowship. Meeting formats are decided by the participants themselves, so each circle is personalized to its members. Our aim is to begin small and eventually expand into location-based meetings, building connections and networks across the nation.
In tumultuous times, many educators have censored themselves to avoid intimidation. We tailor our support for those working to survive and support their students in highly hostile environments — and for those who want to resist but may not know how.

Professional Development
Affordable training workshops where participants learn directly from us through first-hand experiences — and share their own knowledge and expertise. Themes include Human-Centered Coaching, Immigrant Communities, Queer Educators, and Inventive Social Justice Curriculum & Community.
Educator Research Conference
An affordable conference where educators attend lectures and workshops, present their own research, and work in think tanks to further develop their wonderings and ideas about education from a social justice lens.
